Acromegaly is usually regarded as a disease which occurs sporadically. Familial occurence of acromegaly due to pituitary adenoma without any other endocrinopathy in a family is extremely rare. The effect of radio-iodine treatment on Helicobacter pylori eradication

Aim: Radioactive treatment after surgery forms the basis of treatment of differentiated thyroid cancers (DTC) and also used as permanent theraphy of hyperthyroidism. Iodide is being transported into the thyrocytes by the NIS system that located on the thyrocytes’ cell membran. NIS system also has been shown at the gastric mucosa.
